Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hardcourt
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a torrid period, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - caused him falling of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Presently working with his coach and Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is his maiden trophy after the Rome competition and initial on a hard court after spring of the previous year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one different tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is really nice," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six finals, featuring in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive approach and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted commentators to doubt if his capacity to compete at the elite level was over.
But the player has made changes in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an better serve.
Medvedev recovered from a break down in the initial set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the last five points to take the lead.
Both players swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first ATP Tour title, gained dominance to force a third set.
Moutet saved four early-game break points in a tight final set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he secured victory with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
